Wilsons of Rathkenny Car Sales

Ballymena’s Kia dealership, Wilson’s of Rathkenny, treated 50 of its customers to a VIP ride and drive event this weekend. Managing Director, John Wilson and his team, hosted an afternoon at the luxury Galgorm Resort and Spa where guests were given the opportunity to test drive any one of Kia’s range of cars, from the brand new Kia Optima right through to the recently re-modelled super-mini, the Kia Picanto. The ride and drive was followed by a traditional Afternoon Tea in the hotel’s Four Seasons Suite.

The event was a first for the dealership, but with a car sold on the day and further enquiries booked, staff at Wilson’s of Rathkenny are keen to make this an annual fixture in the calendar for Kia. John Wilson commented:

“We hosted this ride and drive event to give people the chance to experience Kia in a relaxed environment; we didn’t expect any commitment at all, we just wanted our guests to get a feel for the range, which has improved dramatically over the years. As a result, the feedback couldn’t have been better!”

Sean McKillop was a guest at this weekend’s event. He said: “The hospitality from the whole Wilson’s team and the hotel staff was excellent from the time we arrived until we departed. I test drove a number of cars in the Kia range which were all very well equipped, finished to a high standard and above all had an unbelievable 7 year warranty. I have to say the new Kia Optima was absolutely stunning and was the car I really wanted to drive on the day. It was a pleasure to drive, very comfortable and had good road holding properties. I think its distinctive coupe-like styling gives the new Optima a streamlined presence fit for a Car of the Year!”
