Responsibilities of the Role:
. Accurately undertaking the panel repair or replacement of damaged motor vehicles.
. Carrying out all repairs.
. Adhering to Thatcham or manufacturers repair methods.
. Working part of a team to complete jobs and assist colleagues where necessary to meet deadlines and targets.
. Demonstrating an understanding of technical principles and disciplines relevant to the role.
. Adhering to Health and Safety procedures.
. A minimum of 3 years' experience.

Wilsons of Rathkenny are seeking a Workshop Controller who understands the demands of a workshop and has the ability to meet the high standards that this position brings.
The Workshop Controller will liaise daily with the Service Manager. The role will involve ensuring all incoming work is planned as well as managing the time and resource of your team. The Workshop Controller will assign technicians to jobs ensuring productivity and efficiency are maximised and that deadlines are adhered to. You are responsible for quality checking, ordering of parts, audits and compliance with all health and safety regulations.
The successful candidate must have strong technical knowledge, be computer literate and be able to work efficiently under pressure to ensure customers cars are completed within agreed time scales.
The successful applicant must have the following criteria:
· Have knowledge of how run a productive workshop
· Experience of managing a team of Vehicle Technicians or Mechanics would be desirable, but not essential
· Be able to demonstrate leadership and identify problems within the workshop and understand how to fix them
· Have the ability to prioritise / organise work to ensure the workshop runs smoothly
· Have excellent communications skills
· Be able to work as part of the management team to ensure the smooth running of the workshop
