Responsibilities of the Role:

. Accurately undertaking the panel repair or replacement of damaged motor vehicles.

. Carrying out all repairs.

. Adhering to Thatcham or manufacturers repair methods.

. Working part of a team to complete jobs and assist colleagues where necessary to meet deadlines and targets.

. Demonstrating an understanding of technical principles and disciplines relevant to the role.

. Adhering to Health and Safety procedures.

. A minimum of 3 years' experience.

. An NVQ Level 3 accreditation achieved within the last 2 years, Manufacturer/ATA Panel Certified Qualifications advantageous (Additional training will be provided where required)

Requirements:

Experience within a Panel Beater / Panel Technician role is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Communicates with customers about vehicle problems, insurance questions, and warranty issues
  • Maintains positive relationships with customers to ensure repeat and return customers
  • Answers customer questions about services, including when to expect vehicle repairs
  • Displays extensive knowledge about vehicle products and services
  • Ensures customer vehicle is finished on time, ensuring satisfaction at every step of interaction
  • Uses all methods of customer communication, including bookings, phone calls, and in-person interactions, to schedule and book appointments, vehicle drop-offs, and vehicle pick-ups
  • Communicates with technicians about vehicle statuses, and ensures that vehicles will be ready for customer on time
  • Processes customer payments
  • Demonstrates extensive knowledge of service department
